Beyond the Menu

Yesterday, I visited a beautiful medieval-style pub in my hometown, and I couldn’t stop thinking about the power of great branding.

What caught my attention wasn’t just the food or the atmosphere,it was the incredible attention to detail.

Their menu was designed to look like a book from the 1500s, and they even took the time to explain the origins of their recipes. Every element felt intentional.

It made me realize how many companies miss opportunities to create memorable experiences by digitalizing everything. Digital tools bring convenience, but they can’t replace the emotions we feel when a brand engages all our senses.

The menu stayed with me, but it wasn’t only that. The pub’s soundtrack, the staff member dressed as a court jester, and all the carefully curated details transformed a simple night out into an experience I’ll remember.

And that’s no small achievement because Belo Horizonte has the highest number of bars per capita in Brazil.

People may forget what they ordered, but they rarely forget how a place made them feel.

What’s a brand experience you still remember long after you left?
